.. okay, I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s a life changing experience, but my site has a new layout! After mud-wrestling with css and div layers, I came out victorious, and this is the lovechild of that victory. I’ve decided I’ll only be layout changing once a year, unless I’m love-tapped upside the head by a new idea. Most likely the first one.Okay, I’ve done a bunch of art since last I updated, mainly to keep busy, but also for some extra money. As per usual, click the thumbnails to see more:

The last two were commissions, the first and third part of the roleplay I run, and the second some TMNT fanart done on Facebook’s graffiti program. I’m also horribly addicted to tegaki, so if you want to check out my sketches on there, here is the link!

I also had the pleasure of teaching two classes for grade twos on motion/movement in art. The first lesson we did, we made flipbooks! It was such a success, the children took to it SO well. Like, there was a girl who made a bunny disappear in the distance, and a boy who had a tiger chase bees who turned around and chased him instead, hahaha. SO CUTE.

The time I came back, I showed them my animations, and by that point they understood how much effort goes into their favourite shows. I think a little too well, actually. One girl told me she can’t watch cartoons anymore because it makes her sad to know all the time that went into them. I was like, D: D: D: Nooo, appreciate the effort and DO watch them! Whoops, hahaha. But we did sequential art, so basically comics. A lot of duds there, they had a tough time thinking of stories and just wanted me to draw Pikachu and stuff, but one hearing impaired boy drew a Spiderman comic, and another boy an Indiana Jones comic, so I thought those were adorable and totally worth it, hehe!

Plus, I got a million little kid hugs, I’m supposedly the best artist in the world in their eyes, and they scream my name like I’m a celebrity whenever I’m at that school. Geeeez, this ego needs to be taken down a peg! I was invited back for next year, which I’m thrilled about. Looks great on the resume, ;D.

Love and limes,
~Phoo!
