Hey everyone!
It’s finally break time, which means I get around to updating my blog with shtuff. Sorta feels like bragging. Ahwells. That’s why I pay for webspace, after all!
Artwork:
All were drawn for the roleplay I run on the side, to keep me doing work that isn’t school related.
And this was drawn for the wall theme at school, where I pushed together two existing cartoon characters into one. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize mine was actually covered in Animaniacs as it was. Pooh. Here is my interpretation, however, of.. Rugmaniacs!
Animations:
Walk-run, with opposing characters. Mine were eighties/early nineties themed: an exercise obsessed fat black woman wearing a fanny pack and probably a lot of neon, and an unobservant little punk with a boombox and srs dancin skillz.
Expression change, featuring my character April [only super simplified, obviously]. I wanted it to fall into a cycle, so.. she loops! Hehe! My idea came when I basically realized I was burnt out as it was, and this was pretty much how I began to feel near the end of it, anyway. I love her rage face when she realizes what she drew was utter crap.
And then comes.. my leica reel!
This was a big challenge, but I’m quite happy with the result. And all feedback henceforth has been really positive, so, all the more reason to be happy with it! Besides the characters sliding on and off model severely, and my desire to have added more to the dance sequence [where Stormy, the female lead, tries and fails a few times to swipe away the cash], it pulled through as a pretty decent storyboard timed with music.
So what am I going to do with a month off, you ask? I already typed up my To Do list, and let me tell you, the artwork section alone spans more than 11 pieces of artwork I owe others, or myself. Yeesh. This, and I have to crack down and study the muscles in prep for next semester’s brutal life drawing. Hate that class, and it loathes me in return. Gah.
Well, now that I’m appropriately discouraged, it’s time to press that little publish button and wait to see if it makes any difference that I did, ;D.
Thanks for stoppin’ by!
Love and limes,
~Phoo!
